This research paper was the first Randomised Control Trial (RCT) published by Rogers and Dawson and their team, identifying that the ESDM is an effective intervention for young children with Autism.

Handy Tip:
When doing your own research into what intervention or program is going to help your child, always take time to find out whether there has been an RCT conducted on that intervention.
RCTs are the “gold standard” of scientific research. They are experiments with quality control measures to ensure that the research is scientific and unbiased. If an intervention claims to “cure” Autism and has not been tested via an RCT, beware of those programs.

They could be very costly and waste you and your child’s time and effort.  Check out Google Scholar to search for RCT abstracts, just like the link above, and avoid authors who have only written their own books “selling” their product.
